I figured if I pulled back and made the piece more about the landscape it would take some of the sting away from the beast. The story i came up with is, this young alchemist girl turns a library of books into a living dragon to prevent them from being burned. Above we have our armor clad alchemist rearing on her large stag playing with her dragon on a lake shore.
