Project Cadmium Green Light, progress

You guys deserve a proper update.
oh yeah, daddy got some new toys!
How i shoot my paintings and how you can too
1. Rake your lighting at about a 45° angle. Try to give them some distance from your painting. You don’t want to over power your painting. especially when your blasting 500 watts each at them. If my living room was wider i’d pull my lamps apart further. I compensate by dropping the exposure drastically.
2. Set up your tripod and camera. put that camera on self timer. no shakey shakey!
3. Hold up a dark cloth in front of you while standing behind the camera. If you’ve got white walls like i do this will help defuse the ambient light bouncing around the room.
4. Call it a day!
